Growing up in Southern California, I would spend one to two weeks at Yosemite every summer as a kid. It was never enough! Thirty years later, I bought this cabin to spend more time in the mountains with my own family and share the wonders of the Sierras with travelers from across the globe. I wanted to call it "The Flume Chalet" in honor of Sugar Pine's history as a logging town, but my daughter thought I said something else, and it stuck. Ultimately, it was the amazing swimming hole right out the front door that sold us on this particular slice of Sugar Pine paradise. Come and experience it for yourself! The small and historic community of Sugar Pine is perfectly located eleven miles north of Oakhurst, California, and nine miles south of the Yosemite South Entrance. Oakhurst is an ideal spot to stock up on gas and groceries, catch a movie, dine at a brewery or barbecue joint, and shop for local souvenirs. Sugar Pine is a small community of roughly fifty cabins, some of which date to the 1920s. Fortunately, our cabin was built in 2000 and features modern comforts like double-paned windows, central heat, and an updated kitchen. Take your coffee down to the creek, rally for a day trip into Yosemite, or stay closer to home and explore Sugar Pine and the Lewis Creek Trail from this amazing location!
