This stunning home is perched on a dominant ridge line, looking out over the entire Ojai Valley. The views are spectacular, and both the indoor and outdoor spaces have been crafted to make the most of its one of a kind location. Complete with high end finishes, and curated to create a sense of unrivaled tranquility, this is the peak of Ojai living.
The home is positioned at the top of a 40 acre olive ranch. The property includes thousands of olive trees, with some groves that are nearly 200 years old. A network of hiking trails inside the property takes one through the beautiful landscapes, covering varied terrain over many miles of pathways.
One truly amazing feature of the property is its ponds and beach areas. One large pond and two smaller ones make up the core of a meticulously crafted aquatic zone, perfect for relaxation or entertaining. The main pond has a large sandy beach, complete with seating areas, a large fire and BBQ pit, a dock, and even a small boat. It’s a wonderful place to relax in the afternoons, and a great place to host gatherings with friends. The shade and water make this area cool and comfortable even on hot summer days. The pond is filled with drinking quality water from the ranch’s main well, so it is great for swimming. Float around in the deep end, swim out to the island for a romantic picnic, or take the rowboat out for a cruise out on the water. It’s a private paradise that is truly one of a kind.
The house is arranged on two stories, with the upstairs containing a sun room, a living room and a kitchen, as well as one bedroom and a full bathroom. The downstairs contains a second bedroom, as well as a large utility room with laundry and other facilities The downstairs bedroom is larger, and features a California King sized bed, with a new top of the line Tempur Pedic mattress. The upstairs bedroom features a Queen sized bed, also with a brand new Tempur Pedic mattress. The red couches in the sun room can double as guest beds, and there is ample space in the downstairs bedroom to place an additional bed if needed for children or guests. The downstairs utility room could also function as a third bedroom if needed.
The home sits inside a private community, on all private roads. It is very secluded and secure, while still being only 5 minutes from the center of town. The house itself sits inside a fenced enclosure of around 2 acres, giving a level of extra privacy and security to the home.
Off the sides of the house are various decks and unique areas to enjoy. With views in all directions, there are spaces perfect for sunrise, sunset moonrise, stargazing, and sunbathing. There is also a private spa area, including a Sunlighten IR sauna, an extra large hot tub (7’x10’), an outdoor shower, and a sand covered patio beach, with large, cushioned chaise lounges. All of the spa features are overlooking the entire Ojai Valley, offering a truly special experience. It is a perfect place for rest and recovery, if you are looking for more health and wellness in your life.
The property comes fully managed, with a staff that takes care of everything It has only been rented once before in its multigenerational history of ownership by the Asquith family. We are looking for someone who can rent it while we are away on summer vacation. These will be the only dates that the property is available to be rented in 2026.
